Bavarian Chocolate Mint Pie
Ingredients:
½ cup butter, softened
2 cups sifted powdered sugar
2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, melted
4 eggs
1 tsp. Cook’s Pure Peppermint Extract
2 tsp. Cook’s Choice Pure Vanilla Extract
1 9” graham cracker or Oreo crust
1 cup broken pecans, walnuts, or almonds
1 cup heavy whipping cream
Whipped Cream
Cook’s Pure Peppermint Extract (for the whipped cream)
Preparation:
1. Cream together butter and powdered sugar
2. Add melted chocolate, mix
3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each one
4. Add Cook’s Choice Pure Vanilla Extract, and Cook’s Pure Peppermint Extract
5. Beat 1 cup heavy whipping cream until stiff; fold into chocolate mixture
6. Place half of the nuts on bottom of crust
7. Pour chocolate mixture over nuts
8. Place in freezer
9. Remove 30 minutes before serving
10. Top with remaining nuts and a dollop of whipped cream flavored with Cook’s Pure Peppermint Extract
