  1. Rinse the vanilla bean pod. Dry it thoroughly. Roll the pod in a paper towel and let it dry out until it is completely bone dry. 
  2. Place the pod and the sea salt in a food processor and pulse about 10 times or to your desired coarseness.
  3. Use the salt in a salt shaker and use on any dish you please. Or substitute vanilla salt for regular salt in any baking recipe.
