Shelly's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 360°.
  2. Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl.
  3. Cream butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla.
  4. Add one egg at a time and beat well after each addition.
  5. Gradually add flour mixture.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips (and nuts if desired).  Leave some chips to place on top of cookie drops.
  7. Spoon by large teaspoons on cookie sheet leaving about 2 inches between cookies.  Place 3-4 chocolate chips on top of dough balls before placing in oven.
  8. Bake for about 8-9 minutes untill edges brown and middle is almost set.
  9. Cool for 2-3 minutes then transfer to wire cooling rack.
  10. Store in an air tight container.
  11. The last step is trying not to eat all of these yourself!
