Homemade Brown Sugar Ice Cream
Ingredients
2 Cups Heavy Cream
2 Cups Half and Half
1 Cup Brown Sugar, packed
1 Tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
1 Tsp Pure Maple Extract
Pinch of Salt
Directions
This recipe requires an ice cream maker. If you have a kitchen aid, I recommend their ice cream maker attachment/bowl.
- Add all the ingredients in a large bowl and whisk until all the brown sugar is dissolved. Add mixture to bowl of ice cream maker.
- Churn and cream the ice cream according to the directions of your ice cream maker. (My Kitchen Aid requires low speed.)
- Once the ice cream is creamy and has reached frozen yogurt consistency, remove the ice cream from the mixer bowl and transfer it to a storage container.
- Freeze for at least 2 hours and then serve.
