Vanilla Pie Crust
1 1/3 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon Cook’s Pure Vanilla Powder
1/2 cup shortening
4 tablespoons cold water
Stir together flour, salt, and Cook’s Pure Vanilla Powder.
Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Stir in water with a fork, stirring only until mixture holds together. Do not over stir.
Form dough into a ball and refrigerate for 1 hour before rolling out to fit a 9″ pie pan.
Bake as specified in pie filling recipe
