Blackberry Ice Cream

Ingredients

Ingredients:

3 Cups Heavy Cream

1 Cup Whole Milk

3/4 Cup White Sugar

1 Tbsp Pure Vanilla Extract

1/2 Cup Blackberry Jam

Directions

This recipe requires an ice cream maker. If you have a kitchen aid, I recommend their ice cream maker attachment/bowl.

  1. In the bowl of the ice cream maker, add cream, milk, sugar, and vanilla plus 1 Tbsp of Blackberry Jam.
  2. Churn and cream the ice cream according to the directions of your ice cream maker. (My Kitchen Aid requires low speed.)
  3. Once the ice cream is creamy and has reached frozen yogurt consistency, remove the ice cream from the mixer bowl and transfer it to a storage container.
  4. Freeze for 2 hours and then stir in the remaining blackberry jam so that it swirls into the ice cream mix. 
  5. Freeze for at least 4 hours and then serve.
