Strawberry Ice Cream

Strawberry Ice Cream

Ingredients

3 Cups Heavy Cream

1 Cup Whole Milk

1 Cup Sugar

2 Tbsp Pure Strawberry Extract

3/4 oz Freeze Dired Strawberries, crushed

Pinch of Salt

Directions

This recipe requires an ice cream maker. If you have a KitchenAid, I recommend their ice cream maker attachment/bowl.

  1. Add the sugar, milk, cream, extract, and half of the crushed freeze-dried strawberries to a large measuring cup or bowl, gently whisk, and then add the mixture to the ice cream maker's bowl.
  2. Churn and cream the ice cream according to the directions of your ice cream maker. (My Kitchen Aid requires low speed.)
  3. Once the ice cream is creamy and has reached frozen yogurt consistency, remove the ice cream from the mixer bowl and transfer it to a storage container.
  4. Layer in the remaining crushed freeze dried strawberries into the ice cream for a swirled effect.
  5. Freeze for at least 2 hours and then serve.
