Whipped Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting

Servings: 10-12 (enough to frost one 2-layer, 9" cake) Prep: 10 minutes


8 oz Cream Cheese, softened

2 Cups Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips

1.5 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream

1 Tsp Pure Vanilla Extract

2 Cups Powdered Sugar

Pinch of Salt

  1. Melt chocolate chips in the microwave with 1/4 cup heavy cream.
  2. Cream the cream cheese in the bowl of an electric mixer.
  3. Add in the melted chocolate chips and cream until well combined.
  4. Mix in the powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt.
  5. In a separate bowl, whip the remaining cream until stiff peaks form.
  6. Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese.
  7. Frost a cake and refrigerate the cake until ready to serve.
