Wild Cherry and Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients

1 Cup All Purpose Flour

1/2 Tsp Baking Soda

1/2 Tsp Salt

10 Tbsp Unsalted Butter, room temperature

1/2 Cup Sugar

1/2 Packed Brown Sugar

1 Large Egg

1 Tbsp Pure Vanilla Extract

2 Tsp Wild Cherry Extract

1 Cup Old Fashioned Oats

1.5 Cups Milk Chocolate Chips

1 Cup Dried Dark Cherries, soak in boiling water for 10 minutes or until use; drain before use

1/2 Cup Slivered Almonds

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.

In a bowl, mix together flour, baking soda and salt.

In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until ight and fluffy. Next, thoroughly mix in the egg and extracts. 

Add the flour mixture to the butter and sugar mixture and mix until just before the flour is incorporated. Add in the drained cherries, chocolate chips, almonds, and oats. Mix until batter is just combined. 

Bake cookies for 16 minutes or until they just begin to brown. Let the cookies cool on a cooling rack.

Makes about 2 dozen.
